The Chrysler Aspen: Spaciousness & Improved Fuel Economy
Launched in 2007, the Chrysler Aspen was the brand’s first SUV. While the “Aspen” name had been derived from the Dodge Aspen, the model itself was based on the second-generation Dodge Durango. Until it was discontinued after the 2009 model year due to slow sales, the only available trim was the Limited. It featured three rows of seating for seven passengers, a four-speaker CD stereo system, 18-inch alloy wheels, and separate air conditioning for the front and rear interiors.
The brand continued to deliver with the 2008 model year, boasting major improvements, including an updated navigation system and a more powerful V8 engine for enhanced performance. The 2009 model combined the Hemi V8 engine’s power with V6-like fuel efficiency, giving owners better bang for their buck.
